DeFrank LGBT Families with Kids Programs
The DeFrank Center LGBT
Community Center's Family Services Program
is designed to support the needs of
lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender
families by coordinating a broad range of
recreational activities, public forums,
educational venues and support groups.
The Family Services Program
provides a safe environment for family
interaction. Activities such as Family Day
in the Park and various workshops targeted
toward lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender families help build a unified
community with common bonds.
In addition, the family
program seeks to build public awareness
through the celebration of diverse family
structures, support a cohesive network of
family-focused community organizations,
and provide resources and referrals on
LGBT family-friendly service
providers.
Family
Group Wish List
The Center relies on the generosity of the
community and volunteers like you to keep
active programming. Our current list of
needs includes:
Family
Group Wish List is another way to
contribute to the group is though our wish
list of items that could be donated
slightly used and in safe condition, buy
new items, or make a financial
contribution and designate the new family
program as the recipient. The DeFrank
Center is a 501c non-profit, so you may
request a donation assessment form for tax
purpose.
Volunteering
and Making a Difference
Volunteers interested in assisting in
planning outings and other fun events for
the kids and families should contact the
Adult Services Coordinator. All volunteers
for the family program require a security
check including finger printing to ensure
the safety of our kids. Learn more in our
