Donate a Vehicle

Car donation programs are an increasingly popular fundraising opportunity for non-profits and donors. You can help the Billy DeFrank LGBT Community Center raise necessary operational funds by donating your car while earning great tax benefits, often realizing more than you would receive if you were to sell your car outright.

The Billy DeFrank LGBT Community Center works with Car Program LLC, an organization that specializes in helping nonprofits raise money via donated vehicles. Car Program LLC carries a $2,000,000 liability insurance policy, is licensed, bonded and has processed over 400,000 donations across the United States for over 600 charities that they represent.

Here is how it works:

If you have a vehicle to donate, contact us or download the donation form from this website.

Fax the form back to the Billy DeFrank LGBT Community Center (408-298-8986) and we will fax it to the Car Program, LLC. They take care of everything else from that point on.

1. Car Program, LLC will make all arrangements for towing, receipt distribution, follow-up calls, title processing, appraisal if required, reconditioning if appropriate, and sale at auction or dismantler bidding, accounting and distribution of sale proceeds.
    
2. Upon pickup, all vehicles are transferred to Car Program, LLC’s dealer inventory to eliminate liability to both The Billy DeFrank LGBT Community Center and YOU, the donor. In addition, Car Program, LLC does not sell vehicles to the public. All vehicles are sold in the wholesale market (dealer-to-dealer).
    
3. Customer care is provided seven days a week so you can talk to a real person not a recording.
    
4. Computerized database records all donations.
    
5. Courtesy follow-up calls are made to all donors to assure donor satisfaction and quality control.
    
6. Car Program, LLC offers experienced nation-wide disposal for most vehicles - from old Junkers to newer vehicles to classics. Car Program, LLC may not be able to accept all vehicles. Restrictions do apply.
    
7. Car Program, LLC ensures timely, professional and courteous towing from companies in their network.
