Why Become A Member?
The Community Center exists to serve the needs of the entire
LGBT Community in the South Bay Area. We are here to empower
the Community by providing health services, social and
educational programs, activities, and events.
Every LGBT person and their supporters are encouraged to join
the Center by becoming a member. By joining with us at the DeFrank Center,
you are showing your support for the LGBT Community by becoming a part of something
bigger than yourself. You will have a greater sense of belonging to the local
LGBT community by knowing that you have a place to express your needs and concerns
and reach
out to help other who may be in need. To truly experience the benefit of our
efforts, please become a member.
Membership Benefits
Make Your Voice
Heard
Your membership entitles you to vote at the Annual Meeting, when you can
vote for Board members and voice
concerns
about
how the Center is interacting with and serving the local LGBT community. Oftentimes
changes to the By Laws are voted on at the Annual Meeting and these changes
can significantly affect the direction the Center takes in the future. You
can have
an influence, but only if you are a member.
Membership Discounts
As a member, you can take advantage of discounts on many DeFrank Center events. Additionally, we are building relationships with local businesses, restaurants, and events so that you will be able to obtain discounts for their services in the future.

How to Become
a Member
Membership to the DeFrank Center helps to provide important services to the
GLBT community. Donors enjoy exclusive benefits, including invitations to special
events.
There are several ways to donate to the
DeFrank Center:

online membership form any time. We also welcome you
to visit the center in-person and ask for a membership

Membership Options
Below are some of the most popular donation options. The
donor’s program titles listed on this page are descriptors
of ways in which we market philanthropy. Donor programs
provide varying levels of recognition for a gift. Gifts through
these programs are considered unrestricted, that is we
can spend them on overall program
or service.
Combined Federal Campaign
This is a work place for Federal employees. After meeting all standards hallmarking a well-run, stable health & human service agency we are invited into the campaign. Our agency is #4102.

General Donations
Usually these gifts are anonymous, unsolicited, and are of smaller amounts. Click

United Way
Silicon Valley Designations
People involved with our local United Way through work place giving can designate their gift be given to the DeFrank Center (there is usually an administrative fee deducted). We generally do not know the names of the individual donors giving through this program. Our agency number is 123500.
